Today, she lives in the Omaha, Nebraska, area with her husband and near her father, Thane Baker, the subject of her book. Beginning each day with prayer, she studies, writes, volunteers, and adores her children and grandchildren.
Thane Baker is a native of Elkhart, Kansas and was inducted into the K-State Hall of fame and the USATF Hall of fame. As an Olympian, he won the silver medal in the 220-yard dash at the 1952 games in Helsinki, Finland. He came back in 1956 to claim three medals at Melbourne, Australia.
